The Kenyan Orphan Sponsorship Trust (KOST) is a grassroots UK charity, based in Leeds (West Yorkshire). KOST is changing lives in Kenya by supporting orphans and vulnerable children in and around the town of Homa Bay, Nyanza Province.
KOST works with the most needy. Most of the children are orphans, but some have parents who cannot provide basic care due to poverty or HIV/AIDS. KOST’s Children’s Home in the town provides food, shelter and medical care for the youngest and all are attending school. Other teenagers are supported elsewhere, as they work through secondary school or vocational training.
Our small UK team is run entirely by unpaid, dedicated volunteers. We bear all the day to day running costs ourselves, which means the maximum amount of money raised goes directly to support children in Kenya.
Through fundraising, sponsorship and donations, we are successfully turning young lives around.
